I went to Oxford, the Cotswold villages, and to Stratford-upon-Avon by myself on a day trip. I wanted to go because I knew that my bsu group would not get to go to these places. I rode in a short bus with 4 other people I didn't know. My tour guide was lovely, full of knowledge, easy to talk to and spit when she talked. I had a very nice day. I got to see where they filmed Harry Potter movies in Oxford. I saw William Shakespeare's house where he grew up. And I got to see sheep farms and little villages where farmers go to see their goods. When I got back to London I went to Harrods to shop for christmas gifts. Harrods is like the Macys in America. Its huge!

Penny Lane is in my Ears!

So we took a two day trip to Liverpool and Manchester. The weather was so cold! The only day it actually snowed in October for the first time in London history. Yes these pictures were from October, just haven't had the time to post new pics. Sorry. So we got to see Matthew's Street where the Cavern Club is located, where the Beatles first played. I took pictures of the Elenor Rigby statue that was dedicated to the Beatles.

Halloween in Ireland

My whole flat and I went to Ireland for the weekend of Halloween. We arrived in Dublin early friday morning. We went to the Guinness Brewery in the late afternoon and got a free pint of Guinness in the Gravity Bar. That night we went out to several pubs where we met an englishman named Richard Lewis. He was dressed as a dead person and was so drunk when he found us that he could not articulate, or form sentences. After about an hour of hugs and trying to understand him he said that his friends had left him, he didn't know where his hotel was and he asked us to take care of him. So we did and he bought us all a around of beer. The next morning we caught a bus to Cork where we rode 4 hours to go to the Blarney Castle. The country side is beautiful. It was hilly and had tons of sheep farms. I think I would like to retire there when I get older. The Blarney castle was old and majestic. All of us kissed the stone and bought pictures of it. It was the single most terrifying thing that I have done. The old man that held me was laughing at me, while I screamed all the way down 'Which one is it?!?!' When he brought me back up I hugged him and kissed the top of his head for holding me. Needless to say we all were pooped by the time we got back to the hostel. On sunday we went searching for St. James' Cathedral. We found it, but it was 4 euros to get in. None of us wanted to pay that so we decided to go back to the air port early. Our flight was delayed a half an hour sadly. So we didn't get home till 5pm when we were supposed to be back by 2pm. It was a great trip to bond with my flat mates.

Scotland

I took this trip with three strangers, Kate my roommate, Chris a band drummer, Shannon who I had met earlier in school. It was definitely a trip to remember. We went to Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Balloch to see Loch Lomand.

Greenwich

This was a trip that was taken before paris so the blogs are sort of out of their time periods. In Greenwich I got to stand in between the time zones. It didn't feel any different than usual, but it was a very cool place to say that I have been there. There was a beautiful park that had large hills. Reminded me of Scotland.

I went to Paris and came back with Australian Money.

Paris was so much more than I was expecting. I went on the journey by myself to see if I could really survive and make friends out of people I didn't know. I achieved my goals and made more friends than I thought possible. The tour that I took was great. We drove around paris day and night seeing the tourist attractions and the night life of Paris. It was the experience of my lifetime that I am so thankful to have gotten. My new friends are now expected to come visit and stay with me in November. :)

This would be September 17 the Parliament walk. We toured the Thames River walk and the Jubilee River Walk. We saw Tower Bridge, Tower Hill Castle which you see now. The Belfast war ship, the new governor building, street performers, the London Eye, various bridges that cross the Thames, and finally Parliament and Buckingham Palace.
